What FPV Map does not simulate, and where to report a bug.

FPV Map is deliberately narrow. This page lists what it does not do, so you can plan around the gaps instead of discovering them mid-shoot.

Not simulated

  • Obstacles, collision and terrain clearance.
  • Wind fields, gusts and turbulence.
  • GPS reliability, loss or return-to-home failure.
  • Battery depletion and aircraft endurance.
  • Real camera optics, lens distortion, exposure or dynamic range.
  • Airspace, legality, permissions and people.
  • Exact DJI Avata 2 flight dynamics. Manual rates and thrust are implementation assumptions.

Not available

  • A keyframe or route editor with precise timing.
  • Direct import/export to Google Earth Studio, or an official integration.
  • Automatic replay of the exact stick path.
  • Real-time collaboration or a web plan editor.
  • Background or real-time sync. Sync is manual and whole-plan.
  • An annotation list. Annotations are visual objects on the map.

What is available

  • RC 3 input, Normal/Sport/Manual flight, gimbal and Avata-style HUD.
  • Google Maps 3D with photoreal coverage where Google has meshes.
  • Named plans, shots with start/end poses, annotations and JSON export/import.
  • Optional account, manual sync and read-only share links.
  • Map photo capture, screen recording and clean capture view.

FAQ

Does FPV Map control a real drone?

No. It reads the controller and never sends commands to an aircraft. It is not a flight controller.

Do I need an RC 3?

No. The virtual sticks are a complete input method. The RC 3 is the validated hardware path.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything works signed out and offline. An account only adds manual plan sync and share links.

Does it work on my phone?

It requires Android 8.0+, arm64-v8a and Google Play services. Only an OPPO CPH2457 on Android 14 has been tested.

Why is my city flat?

Google has photoreal building meshes only in some areas. Terrain is broader. A steady flat render is usually coverage, not a bug.

Can I record video?

Yes. The shutter can record the screen through Android MediaProjection. It records the display, not a rendered camera path.

Can I export my flight path?

You can export the plan document (plans, shots, annotations) as JSON. There is no animated route export or Earth Studio import.

Is this official DJI software?

No. FPV Map is an independent product by Biler IT Solutions and is not affiliated with or endorsed by DJI.

Is it a substitute for training?

No. It can help you learn the controls and rehearse a shot, but it does not certify you to fly and does not replace instruction or legal checks.
